A tramatic experience for Mama....

I was in the kitchen making lunch for Noah, Dylan, and Elle today. Told all the kids to pick a seat that lunch was done. Noah was walking over to the seat he wanted and tripped. He started screaming so I went over to him. He sat up and was holding his head. I took his hand away and he had a gash on his left eyebrow in the shape of a "y". I will admit I freaked out a little. It was deep enough that I knew it needed stitches or glue. Noah kept rolling his eyes up. I didn't know why he kept doing that. My mom says maybe he was trying to see what happened to his head. Looking back....maybe he was. All I know is he was SCREAMING his head off. SO, I called 911. Yeah go ahead and laugh at me. This was the first time either of the boys have got hurt that bad.

EMS came and looked at him. Asked a few questions and put a band-aid on his head. They thought he probably needed stitches but could go to a urgent care. Of coarse they would take him to the ER if I wanted him seen but thought he was probably ok. With all my medical training you would think I should have known that he was ok. Panic mother mode kicked in first though.

My mom came over after I called her in a panic and told her that DYLAN fell and I was calling 911 and to please hurry over. She got there right after the ambulance. What usually would have been a 15 minute drive she did in 6-7 minutes. Wonder how many people she ran off the road? I also called Adam and told him to meet me at U of M. He was in Detroit. He turned around and cancelled his meetings only to find out 10 minutes later he could go on about his day. Sorry mom and Adam for scaring you so! Next time one of the kids fall I promise to stay calm and assess the situation a little better.

I took Noah to the urgent care where I worked. They super glued his head back together and he's good as new. Noah was very brave and didn't cry at all. Sat on my lap the whole time and snuggled. He was very happy when we were done he got 6 suckers! 2 for him, 2 for Dylan, and 2 for Elle.

I'm happy he's ok. What a afternoon!!! The boys are napping right now so I'll take a picture and post it later.

Easter Egg fun

Amy, Emma, and Olivia came over friday morning to play. We decided to dye easter eggs. This is something I would not have done if Amy didn't bring the stuff over. I thought it would be too messy and the boys wouldn't get much out of it. Boy was I wrong! It wasn't too messy (except for one spill) and the boys LOVED it! I enjoyed taking pictures too! Dylan is in blue and Noah's shirt is orange.
Just this week the boys are starting to talk in short sentences (4-6 words). Dylan still says a little more than Noah but he's not far behind Dylan. One thing Dylan just started a couple days ago that I love is when we tell him something he says, "yeah, I know". Another favorite word of mine is butterfly...sounds like "flutterfly". Noah is really trying to learn his colors. If he wants to know what color something is he says, "is that blue?" He knows orange very well and I love to hear him say that.
I am now officially a stay at home mom. I decided to quit my job because I wasn't working much anyways. When I did have to work I felt like I was missing out on family time since I only worked every other Saturday and sometimes less than that. It's nice not having to think about work anymore. I'll stay home with the boys until they are done with kindergarten. At that point I might go back to school. I'll make that decision later. For now I'm enjoying everyday because I know they are growing up to quick!
Happy Easter!!
