The other day I had a rough day with the boys. It was just one of those days! They were both crabby and had a bunch of tantrums. Noah bit me and grabbed at me like he was trying to scratch my face. Just testing me a lot that day. Both boys sat in time out a bunch of times. When Adam got home I was yelling at the boys about something. I don't even remember what. I rarely get so upset with them that I yell. I hate that I do it when I do slip and yell. I find if I talk to them instead of yelling they calm down faster and they actually hear what I am saying. If I yell they get more upset and it just makes it all worse.
That night Adam said maybe it's time you go back to work 2 or 3 days a week. He thought I needed a break from the boys. Maybe I was burnt out and being with them 7 days a week was making me crazy. Of coarse that made me cry. I must be PMS'ing or something. I wouldn't know for sure since I had my surgery. I thought maybe I would be lucky and not have that anymore. Yeah right!
I don't want to be away from the boys that much! I love being with them and watching them grow. I feel like I would miss too much! 2 years has gone by too fast. I am lucky to be able to stay home with my boys. I wouldn't trade it for anything! I guess that is what I needed to hear to snap me back into reality. I don't stay home with Noah and Dylan because I have to I do it because I want to.
Thank you Adam for working hard so I can stay home with our boys. I know you think about them all day and miss them too. I am so lucky to be with them so much. I am truly happy with our life!

Crisp fall morning
It was chilly this morning but we dressed warm and took the boys to the farm at Kensington. It seems like we go there every weekend but the boys love it. I got some cute new pictures of the boys. I am learning how to edit my pictures. I can't believe how much better they look with a little editing.

I should have known something was up!
Everyone that has kids knows when a toddler is quiet its bad news! The boys have never done anything like this before. Dylan unrolled a bunch of toilet paper on to the floor. Put some in the toilet and took it out (GROSS) AND splattered it about the bathroom. YUCK!! All this in about 3 minutes.
Can you tell the toilet set is all wet?
Even put some wet toilet paper in Adam's sink. Better his than mine I guess! LOL!
I was a little mad but mostly this made me laugh. Couldn't let Dylan see I was laughing but I was on the inside.

fall fun

I took the boys outside tonight and raked a big pile of leaves for them to play in. I remember doing this as a kid. They would not jump into the pile but spent a half hour spreading the leaves back out in the yard. Noah enjoyed stuffing them in the seat of his bike. We had to come inside because the mosquitoes are so bad. the bugs have been terrible lately!
They spent a lot of their time riding the arctic cat. Dylan is very good driving it...if he pays attention to where he is going. He went off the driveway and down a little hill tonight. Noah was in the passenger seat yelling "OH NO!" Dylan does most of the driving but Noah helps get it unstuck. He understands how to put it in reverse and forward. Also, he is the one that always gets out to push if necessary.

2 years old

Well, it's so hard to believe 2 years have gone by already. The boys had a great birthday weekend. Saturday was their birthday party and Sunday was their actual birthday. The day they were born it was freezing cold and it snowed! The morning they were born Adam had to quickly go get our boat and park it in our garage because it was not winterized yet! This weekend it was near 80! What a difference! We prefer the near 80 degrees of coarse. All weekend we told the boys about the day they were born. Don't know if they understood most of it but I think they did.
I would like to thank everyone that came to their party and helped the boys celebrate. It meant a lot to us and the boys too. Thank you for all the great gifts. Noah and Dylan have been very busy. For those of you that attended the party, did you notice the big dinosaur they got from their Grammie? Well, Dylan is terrified of it! LOL! He loved it at Target in the case. Noah likes it and is not afraid at all. It stays in his room now. Dylan is ok with that. Also, they got a power wheels arctic cat from great grandpa Jack. At first they would push on the gas and let off right away. This was a very jerky ride. Last night Dylan got on and drove it great! He kept his foot on the gas and steered! A great improvement in just a couple days! Noah jumped in and they rode down the driveway and back. The mosquitos were so bad they only got to drive it for about 10 minutes. They are starting to understand forward and backwards too. They also got 2 ride on toys for in the house that they love. Some cute outfits, PJ's, books, little cars and airplanes, CDs, a DVD, wooden train set, lots of smaller toys, backpacks with their names on it (love these), and a bunch more toys. They are spoiled little boys, I never had so many toys when I was a kid!
Today was their 2 year well visit at the pediatrician. Dylan was taller (slightly) and weighed more! Dylan was the smaller twin at birth weighing half a pound lighter!! Go Dyllie!
Here are Dylan's stats:
34 1/2 inches (58 percentile)
27.4 pounds (44 percentile)
16.18 BMI (37 percentile)
Here are Noah's stats:
34 inches (44 percentile)
27.2 pounds (42 percentile)
16.54 BMI (48 percentile)
Both boys are doing good. They got a flu shot today and only cried for a second until they got a dinosaur prize. They will both be on asthma medication again this winter because last year was so bad. They will be seen again in the spring to discuss stopping the medication again for spring and summer.

lots of new words
Well the boys will be 2 in less than 2 weeks! Hard to believe that 2 years have gone by already! wow! Noah and Dylan have both mastered some new skills. Dylan is talking more than Noah right now. He has even said some 3-4 word sentences! Noah is more active physically than Dylan. Noah is good at going down stairs without anything to hold onto. He can also jump very well. In fact, he was jumping off the bottom step of the basement last night.
Dylan touched a hot light over the weekend. He now understands what hot really is. Ever since he points at lights ALL day long and says "hot...hot". Yesterday we were standing in the kitchen and he said his longest sentence. This is what he said.."woo Sara, dat hot...hot!" That is the second time I have heard him refer to me as Sara instead of mama. Both boys point to electrical outlets and say "hot" now too. Sunday Noah ALMOST stuck a screw driver in a electrical outlet. Luckily, Adam caught him in time. Just when I think we can stop worrying so much about the outlet covers! Nope! We had a nice chat with the about outlets being hot.
Friday we are going to Indiana for Adam's cousin Michelle's 30th birthday party! We are excited to see everyone! I hope we have a good trip for once with the boys! Every trip we have been on with them it seems like something goes wrong. Like they get sick. I am bringing everything we could possibly need. Just in case.

Here is a picture from Brady and Tyler's 2nd birthday party yesterday. They are almost 2 weeks older. Also in the picture are their friends Riley and Kennedy.
Sorry Kristi, I stole this from your blog. Its so funny because Dylan is screaming. He was tired and wanted his pacifier.
